Dress Code for all activities
Girls
- All lady contestants must wear loose fitting culottes and tops.
- Culottes must be full and should not include a front zipper.
- Culottes must have the appearance of a skirt, and must be no shorter than the middle of the knee. Girls who wear culottes that only come to the top of the knee will be disqualified. (The hem must touch the ground when the girl kneels.)
- Sleeveless tops, slacks, or shorts are not permitted.
Cheerleaders
- All cheerleaders must wear skirts or culottes that meet the same standards as the girls who play volleyball or basketball.
- Sleeveless tops, slacks, or shorts are not permitted.
- Cheerleading routines should avoid the modest display of the thigh.
Boys' Football
- Baseball pants, football pants, warm-up pants, slacks, or knee length, hemmed shorts are permitted.
- Jerseys may not be sleeveless or tank-top or open mesh type. They must come to the waist.
- Boys are not permitted to have facial hair. (This rule does not apply to male coaches.)
- Boys hair must not come over the ears or collar. Fad hair styles are not allowed.
Boys' Basketball
- Shorts must have at least nine inch inseams or come to the top of the knee.
- Numbers must be placed on front and back of team shirts.
- Teams should be uniform; that is, the same style and color of jerseys and pants.
- Jerseys must have sleeves. (If tank-tops are worn, a T-shirt should be worn underneath that is the same color as the jersey.)
- The uniform requirements as outlined in the National Federation Rules Book apply.
- Boys are not permitted to have facial hair. (This rule does not apply to male coaches.)
- Boys' hair must not come over the ears or collar. Fad hair styles are not allowed.
Spectators
- Although it is difficult to maintain strict control over the spectators who show up for games, school leaders should insist on minimal standards. (halter tops, "short" shorts etc. are offensive to conservative Christians.)
- After playing, players should not change into clothes that violate the guidelines above.
- At no time should "short" shorts be worn by anyone (parent, staff member, student, non-students.)
- Staff members should avoid a double standard by wearing anything that is less appropriate than that which is required of the students. Women staff members should wear dresses or culottes to the middle of the knee, and men staff members should wear shorts to the knee or slacks.
